What is the best way to NOT be offensive?

❗️ I am asking this as a white woman, who is trying to be as conscious as possible. ❗️
This question is for POC. 
I've heard that "color blindness" is good, and that it is not. Personally, I don't know what is the best way to be non-racist. 
When I look at a person, I just see a person. Black, white, purple, or blue, just a person. I struggle, though, with how to be- what's the word?.. -sensitive(?). 
Talking about race makes me genuinely uncomfortable because I 100% have "white guilt", though I don't love that term. I recognize that I am privileged because of things out of my control. 
What is the best way to respond when the topic of race DOES come up, Without being offensive?

The best way in my opinion is to be more interested in listening than defending yourself. Know how to apologize. Be open to learning.

You shouldn't feel guilty that you're white, and I'm very sorry about that! Just want to say that it's 100% okay to be any race, and no one should ever be ashamed of that. I personally think that's it's okay to realize that someone is a certain race, but what's NOT okay is to treat them differently... Now unless they're assholes (regardless of race), thenn it's okay 😂
If the topic of race comes up, what I always do is just listen to what people have to say first and form around my own opinions, even as a POC. Bc no matter what race you are, you can still be racist, and even though I'm not racist some people can still find certain things offensive so you have to be careful. 
It's not hard for me to talk about race, but it's easy for people to call me a racist if they don't agree with me on something so be careful with who you're talking to about this subject 😅

I would suggest being honest. Placing yourself in the situation as the person of topic. Not being in denial of the racism that still exist in the world.
