Ovulate week before period?

I've been trying to conceive and I'm wondering can I conceive 7 days before my period was to start. My period is 3 days late as of now, so I took a test and it was negative. Could it still be possible that I'm pregnant ?

Wait a few more days and try. Sometimes it takes a full week after missed period to show a positive result

It is possible, but unlikely. Odds are the egg has been long gone. There is a chance you could have ovulated later than you thought. If that was the case, u would wait at least 14 days from the last Time you had sex to test, 18 or 20 would be more ideal.
