Do you think you should be married before having children?

I think I needed to be married before having children. I cannot speak for others. They might not need to be. It's their business and doesn't bother me either way!

I don't think it's a bad thing to have children without being married but I do think marriage really builds a great foundation for both of u to learn and grow and communicate better. If u already have that from a long term relationship then that's fine too.

I know  couples who have been together for decades, unmarried, and are more in love and have a more stable foundation than couples who are married. It's a symbol and it's a legal thing, but it does nothing to represent how capable you are of raising children or how strong your bond is.

I don't care what other people do but I'm happy i waited to be married. I'm also glad we had years to experience life without kids and then married life without kids. I like knowing he chose me and didn't feel obligated to be with me because of a pregnancy. I feel very secure knowing my husband wants this kid as much as i do. Maybe I feel like there's more commitment. But that's just for me ya know? I also didn't ever want to have kids or be married 5 years ago.

I think any couple should be in a stable and committed relationship before having children. Not everyone wants to be married but ideally the children should have a stable home

Let me tell you a story. I met my now husband in August of 2011 and he was going through a divorce after his wife cheated on him--they were married almost 13 years. We worked together and I kinda became a friend he needed while he was going through all of that. He had feelings for me and I him but I told him he needed to wait a year and figure out who he was before dating anyone. Well that didn't happen. We started dating in October of 2011 and were engaged in January of 2012 much to my parents dismay. He was the first real relationship I ever had. First kiss (I was 27) and all. I believed in waiting for marriage for sex and babies and all that, but it all went out the window with him. We are very emotional and passionate and so I got pregnant in February of 2012 and found out in March. We had our son in November and finally actually just got married in a very small wedding in October of 2015. 
If we wouldn't have had our son, I don't know that we would still be together. I love my husband but we went through some really awful times (money issues, problems with my family, depression, job loss, him cheating, etc.) and if it were just the two of us, I don't know if we would have fought as hard to stay together.
So, in the end, I really don't know if I would do it all over the way we did or actually get married first. We hardly had any time just the two of us and I think that made things harder too.

As long as you truly love who you're with, I think a legal document connecting two people doesn't make a difference

No its more of a personal choice if you feel its best to get married then have children then thats your choice i got pregnant and had my son we got married a few days after his 1st birthday

I think it usually works out best if you are. If you marry after having kids with someone there can be that lingering question at the back of you mind making you wonder if you married for the right reasone or because of the child. Then there's all the moms who find themselves parenting all alone because they though it would work out and that they were is love but then then they are just left alone. People get divorced too of course, especially these days, but if they are committed enough to get married before they have kids to consider, in my opinion, it tends to last longer and workout better.
