pregnancy tests?

so i just got a pregnancy test. how long after i have sex can i take the test and have it give accurate results? i had sex on august 16 and i really hope i'm not pregnant. so how long can i take the test and know for sure? and please don't say when you're supposed to get your period because my periods are extremely irregular.

I'd wait about 2 1/2  to 3 weeks. The longer you wait the more accurate it will be.

I would say wait until at least the 30th. If you can stand to wait till like the 2nd or 3rd even

I really don't think there's another way to check other then tracking your period. But you could maybe wait another week and then try? Obviously you'll know if you get your period. But if you don't try a week from now.
