My little cousin once confided in me that her sister was bullying her (she had bloody nail marks in her arm to prove it and I have seen her hit with a phone and remote on several occasions) and was mad that her mom blew it off. So I told her mom, my aunt, yesterday through text. She got really mad and accused me of "judging her parenting" and got defensive saying "I'm a damn good mother" but I never said anything about her parenting. She came over today for a joint party and is going out of her way to ignore me. I told her I never judged her parenting and I knew she was an amazing mother. But whenever she talks to someone and I respond she ignores me. It's been two days that she's been over and she hasn't said a word to me! She hasn't even acknowledged my existence except to stare me down when one of her youngest was showing off her new stuffed bunny toy. But she's been abnormally chatty with my husband, offering him cupcakes and making more conversation than normal and laughing at his jokes. But she ignored me entirely except to glare at me when her daughter was showing me her stuffed animal... I'm so hurt right now because I don't deserve the way she talked to me during the conversation. She won't even tell me what I did to upset her, but she said "all I did was answer a question honestly and I've had my parenting judged" but I never asked her a question! And I never judged her parenting! And now she's going out of her way to act like I don't exist and showering my husband in attention... I'm just so angry and hurt right now
