Men Lie?!

Question

When you first met your SO and you were getting to know him, did he lie about things to try and be who he thought you would want? If so and you're willing to share, what did he lie about?

It's something we still have to work through because he knew the things he lied about were very important to me. We've been together for five years and I'm slowly finding out about things and it destroys me a little each time.
It's pretty much the only serious issue we have so I put up with it but it has really affected our relationship.

Yup! He lied to me about being with people so he didn't sound so young and inexperienced. Turns out he's never been with anyone😂

He withheld a lot of things that didn't even cross my mind to ask in the beginning. His ex wife supposedly took his son and moved thousands of miles away to hurt him by keeping the child far away from him. Later I find out he punched her in the face after she supposedly hit him with a telephone. I told him after the relationship turned physical she had no obligation to stay and that I would've gone to be with my family too.

My husband lied about how many women he had been with. But i lied about the amount of men i was with, also. Once i came clean and admitted that i was a virgin, so did he. I mean, it was obvious anyways, the first time we had sex, we both had no clue what we were doing 😂

The only thing my bf has lied to me about was talking to other girls and one time he spent the night at a friends house and you told about it like 4 months later and it just accidentally came up and i caught him in a lie. Otherwise hes open and honest with me

He played as if he was a tidy person. Complete opposite 😂😂 he's getting a little better 5years Lester but it's not a huge deal breaker. And he played off how much he likes video games. HE IS A STRAIGHT GAMER! But I'm sure I did the same thing so we're even 😋

I think there are varying degrees!! He lied saying he was a tidy person and hated clutter too.... we moved in together six months later and I find this was not the case! After another 6 months... we compromised and hired some help. He works long hours and makes a decent chunk so it was a non issue, but god it would drive me up the wall when little piles of man-mess appeared. 😂

He lied to me about his collectibles! He said he didn't have that many. Let me tell you, yes he does! 😲 We have a whole room for them now + a closet. But it's what he loves so I let it go.
