Nexplanon Period?

I wasn't sure if I should post this under birth control or period talk, but I was just wondering how long my period would last after getting this birth control. So far my period has been about a week long, when normally it was only 5 days. So idk?

My understanding is prolonged bleeding is normal with some forms of bc. My friend was on her period almost constantly for a year when she was on deli, but they didn't stop her on it because it was only light sporting. If it continues more than 10 days I would check in with your doc.

Had my implanon 23 of July . On the 16 of August I got my period and I am still having it .

Dude I got the nexplanon recently and I'm still on my period after 2 weeks. I'm getting it taken out because it's causing problems with anemia and other things of assort. My doctor told me that a week long is normal but if it doesn't stop, it's probably best to take it out.

a little prolonged bleeding is normal as long as you aren't anemic or anything. jeez, i wish i still had 7 day periods, i'm now on day 56 of my second Nexplanon period and still bleeding 😭
