Iud?!?!!?!

So I got an iUD inserted about a month an a half ago, everything was good until I got my period. I started my period on August 2. It's pretty Normal and lasts about 6 days. But it still hasn't went away. It's August 28 now. I don't know what's wrong. I went to the doctor and he told me I need to take an ultrasound but it would take 6 months to get the results. Where I'm from healthcare is not very good. Idk has anyone else experienced this? I'm on mirena. My friend got the same thing and she said she bled for 2 months but that it's okay now. Idk what to do
