Lack of parenting?

Do you think lack of parenting is the result of a kid not being potty trained by age 4?

My son was 5 when he finally learned to potty train completely. My youngest is 3 and still not. I'm not going to push him. I made that mistake with my oldest and it backfired.. They will become ready on their own.

Sometimes. Other times it's just the child not being ready yet.

Everyone is different, no kid is the same. I have 4 kids ages 10, 8, 6, and 4. My oldest two were potty trained by the age of 2, no problem. My 6 year old has autism, everyone thought he wasn't gonna get potty trained till maybe the age of 10 or older, but he got potty trained by the time he was 5!! He still uses pull ups but as undies only, I'm slowly weaning him off them and replacing them with actual undies, but soooo glad no more messy diapers!! Now my 4 year old, he just got potty trained, its been 3 months barely, I had such a hard time cuz he sees my 5 yr old with pulls and doesn't understand why so he wanted diapers, he said he was still a baby, i tried but to no avail my 5yr old had some undies on and he saw them on him. He used the toilet. That was sooo difficult for me, to get my 5yr old tomget used to undies and my 4yr old to use the toilet, he is one stubborn little man, and it didn't help one bit that his grandma, my MIL, would come and put him on diapers and baby him even more.

Not necessarily. All three of my daughters were trained before the age of 2. My son was almost 4. Each child is different.

No. My son literally just started being comfortable with peeing somewhere other than a diaper, he's four.

He was terrified of the bathroom, he would hold his pee in till he just couldn't and would end up peeing  on the floor which I was happy about because at least he let go. I would have him all day without a diaper, and then one day I cought his pee with a bucket because I got tired of cleaning the floor and after that incident of chat hung his pee he has pees on the bucket on his on even takes it and dumps not in the toilet and flushes it.

I know it's not "normal" but it's a great success in very proud of him. I'm starting to slowly move the bucket closet to the bathroom so he can get comfortable with the idea of using the bathroom. He still isn't comfortable pooping anywhere but a diaper but hey at least he pees. One step at a time, kids will do it when they feel comfy and safe.

Don't feel like you failed, all kids are different and you have to try different things.

No. Some children are terrified of the toilet. It doesn't mean they are bad parents. If they neglect to teach the kid then yes. However, if the kid just refuses because of some random reason then no they aren't bad parents.

No I don't. There could be a lot of underlying factors developmental or physiological. I would not immediately judge a parent by their potty training success age. But I would question and encourage if they have not sought outside resources.
