Dopplers. How are they unsafe?

Question

I see so many people saying that dopplers are unsafe if you don't know how to use them?

I don't understand how a Doppler at home is unsafe. I understand you may not be able to find the heartbeat which may stress you out but when you do find the heartbeat which I've never yet failed to find it's the best sound ever.

Can someone please enlighten me as to how these things harm our unborn children? 😊

Overtime they produce heat (side effect of the sound waves) however you would need to hold the Doppler on ur stomach for a few hours every day in the exact same place in order to do any damage. The same goes for ultrasound. I've had 8 ultrasounds and I'm 23 weeks. Nothing so far, and I know people who are high risk and have at least one ultrasound per week with no issues. Don't let worry go to your head.
