My birth story!! 8/26/16 FTM
Here is goes:

Had been having on and off contractions 8/25/16 all day and just wasnt sure if I had to go to L&D just because they kept being at 10-20mins apart so I just stayed home. That night my SO and I decided to just go to the store to get snacks and keep me walking in order to speed labor.. This was at like 12 at night LOL. We ended up coming come at 2 in the morning and after I was like I should probably take a shower just to help me relax and sleep good (eventhough I already had a feeling I was probably not going to sleep) Around 2:45 as I am getting out of the shower my man goes hey little one just come out already and as fate would have it my water broke! At first I thought I peed myself and once I kept feeling the water coming it just hit me HOLY CRAP I am in labor.. Keep in mind I am first time mom so I didnt really know what to expect or how it would feel. After that my man took a quick shower and he drove like crazy to the ER to get me admitted in the hospital by then it was already 3. Once I got there they initially didnt tell me how much I was dialated because my cervix was too high or something but eventually I found out I had been 4cm already. After that everything was going quick by 9 in the morning I was 8cm dialated and had only been taking a medicine that made me dizzy but wasnt easing my contractions. At that point the pain was intolerable and I couldnt go without any more medication so I decided to do the epidural eventhough I really tried to go without it as much as I could. By then I was like I will have this baby hopefully by 2 but nope idk if the epi slowed my labor but my baby wasnt coming down even after I was fully dialated.. Fast forward 6pm and I had to either start pushing or they would give me pitocin, I started pushing and Thank God baby started coming down. By 7:38 my baby was born, Andres Elias born at 7lbs 7oz and he was sk tiny and perfect. The worst part for me was pushing and getting an episiotomy. Eventhough I still had the epi on me It was the weirdest thing ever because my legs were numb but my hooha was not so I felt every painful push and especially the episiotomy but after his head was out, nothing mattered. He came out and was perfect. The only complication we really had was that my temp and his were high so my man didnt get a chance to cut the cord but other than that his a very healthy baby. I love him to death and I would say to all FTM dont be scared because for me labor was the best experience to go through. I wouldnt trade it, it was crazy it was fast and most of all My life completely changed the minute he was placed in my chest. I felt this intense amount of love that I never felt before and everytime I look at my baby I still cant believe he is MINE and that he was inside of me for 9months.
