So I am 33 weeks pregnant today and my plan throughout my entire pregnancy has been to have an all natural water birth with my amazing midwife at their amazing birthing center! And then my blood work came back and I had low platelets... And on top of that my blood pressure has been spiking way higher than usual for about a month and a half now... My midwife sent me to the hospital for labs and observations a few nights ago and they told me i have gestational hypertension and low platelets and they want to induce me at 37 weeks and I can no longer see my midwife... I feel so defeated and terrified at this point... This is my first child and my fiancee and i are completely shook up by this... Anyone else experiencing something similar? :(
