day cares?

How do you feel about day cares when things like this happen? (I tried the best I could to leave the baby's face out of it, I left her name because the post is viral & if you wanted to see you could easily search for it)

You can't condemn all daycares or make working mothers feel badly about using them. There are crappy day cares everywhere. Research and do your best to find one you trust. Honestly though this kind of scare tactic for moms that need to use daycare is really unacceptable. It could have happened at a preschool or playground just the same

This isn't the daycares fault. This could have happened at home with a sibling/cousin/friend, at a park, at school, at a family members house, etc. The daycare worker could have been standing 2 ft away while it happened and not been able to stop it fast enough. I hate how people are so quick to say things like "this is why I would never put my child in daycare." Some of us don't have any other choice. There are bad daycares just like any other business, you just have to do some research when choosing one. I absolutely love my son's daycare and he has gotten bit and bit other children before. As long as the situation is handled properly and it isn't because they were neglecting the children, then don't blame the daycare.

I feel like not all day cares are bad & you can't blame day cares as a whole... Do your research and find one with good reviews & a staff you trust.
I also feel (as a former day care employee) that this one in particular is not doing a good job, period. This baby would have been SCREAMING, I've seen these pictures & this baby has wayyyyy to many bite marks on him for it to not be partly the day cares fault. I hope she finds a new one.

Kids fight. It could have happened anywhere. When I was like 12 my brother and I were fighting at HOME and I slammed him into the wall so hard he went through it.
Freshman year of high SCHOOL during a fight in the cafeteria I knocked a girl's tooth out. 
At the PARK my cousins and I were climbing on top of the equipment acting like ninjas and he pushed me off. Got a face full of wood chips. Needed 12 stitches in my forehead. 
Bottom line, kids fight everywhere. Kids play rough everywhere. Kids get hurt everywhere. It's not the daycare's fault.

Honestly, you cant blame the daycare. Children are sooooooo bad these days. I blame parents. More than likely the child that did that to that poor baby is BAD at home with little to NO discipline. You cannot expect your child to be a little devil at home but then when they go out in public they are going to behave and act civilized. I am a FIRM believer that what kids do at home, they will do in public. There is no excuse for this happening though because there should be two adults supervising in daycare rooms.

K so this is a horrible question to ask me!!!!!!
I didn't see the image and im glad I didn't. These things enrage me! Lol this isn't my kid but im so mad over this whole thing! First of all ide call up that kids mom and tell her if your kid ever lays a hand on my child again I'll send you a flower to put on his casket. Second this is just me but I'm going to teach my kids self defense. We were taught that and I will teach my children that no way will i tell my kid he has to deal with that and be the nice guy oh no no no!  We are in the process of saving for Krav mega and then will move on to regular karate etc i think 3 forms of self defense is a must! This is a non negotiable issue and we are putting funds away for this hes nearly 1 years old. Also ide let the school know that I want that kid suspended until this issue is dealt with and resolved. I cant see the image I don't know how old the kids are sadly things like this happen with little kids but a kid that bites to hurt is not the kind of kid that belongs amongst other kids. Ide demand he gets thrown the hell out! Period. I may be old school but I grew up with kids that like to pick fights with me i also grew up learning self defense and was in karate at a young age. My parents always told me if someone hurts you fight back they also told me if the teacher tells you to hold your pee in and you gotta go get up and go. That is what ide do and to each their own if my kid bit someone else like that you bet he'd get the spanking of his life that would be the last time my son ever thought to do that shit again unless of course someone started up with him first. Poor baby!!! I'm so glad I didn't see the picture but I hope it's nothing too serious!😠

I feel like day cares like this are shitty as hell and all responsible should be bitten then thrown behind bars and the day cares shut down for good. No excuses. No way other kids were doing this and no one noticed. What kid doesn't make a noise when bitten??? My heart broke for that little one when I saw that. I had to put my phone down and go do something else because I couldn't continue to look at it. 
I teach my kids that if they bite eachother or me, I'm going to bite back. Not as hard as they do it because I'm not about to mark my child's skin or anything to prove a point but they're going to get it back. I just found out my 5 year old has been biting people at school. He bit his brother the other day so I bit him back. Hasn't done it since then. That was kind of off topic with that bit but yeah.

This could happen when you are playing at the park. Siblings will do this to each other under our own watch. It happens. Kids bite each other.  If it were a recurring thing I would see where concern would come into play. Personally, I had an awful experience with a home daycare provider, ended up having to testify against her in court because of multiple cases of child neglect and abuse on her part, and since then, I SWEAR by daycare centers. The ratio of teachers to kids is much higher. Just do research on the facility you are thinking of using. My daycare center is run by a lady I've know for many many years, has run this same center for 20 years and has lived in my town her whole life, she is a staple in our community. If my son can't be home with me, that is the next best place on this earth!
