What age is best?

What age do you think is best to have a baby? My husband and I are 18 & 19 we've been married for a year and we both make good money, we've been thinking about having a baby but we aren't sure if we're ready yet or if we can afford to take care of a baby (or two twins run in the family on my side) what do you guys think we should do?

If you're not sure you can afford a baby or  you aren't ready mature wise, it's probably best to wait.

I'd start saving money now, but wait to get pregnant. It will give you a piece of mind knowing you have some money saved up in case you get 2 :) That being said, I'm 20 and engaged, and expecting a baby boy in January. I wouldn't have had a baby if things weren't 100% good financially. I owe $0 and my SO is a specialized dermatologist, so we're good in the money department. If staying home with a baby is more appealing than having a social life, you may be ready in that aspect of things. I will add that men mature much later than women do, so I'd make sure he is ready.... I don't know any 19 year old or guy around my age ready to have kids, but that's just me. My so is 15 years older. If I were you, I'd just start saving and toying with the idea of a baby before you actually decide to have one.

whenever you're ready:) i got married at 18 & we had a miscarriage at 18 also. we were ttc for a few years now & we are only 20 :) we have tons of money saved up & a place of our own! try when YOURE ready not when others tell you to be ready
