Kitty poo?

so me and my partner have started TTC, it's only been for a month so we're just starting out, however I've been told that cat poo can harm a fetus? How harmful is it? We have a little kitten that I'm very attached to. He follows me everywhere and never stops cuddling me. My partner reckons that it should all be okay once he only cleans the litter tray and I stay away from the cat? Or should I consider getting rid of my little kitty? Does anyone know?

Toxoplasmosis is mostly a risk with outdoor or indoor/outdoor cats. If you change the litter box, don't touch your mouth and wash your hands well to prevent risk of contamination. Don't kiss kitty on the mouth and resist all temptation to lick kitty's butt.

I mean if you do research you can even get toxoplasmosis from food. I have 6 cats and clean the boxes. If it makes you feel more comfortable you can just wear gloves and a mask.

I'm pretty sure as long as you don't mess with the litter box that you are ok. I don't have cats but I know a lot of woman that had cats while pregnant and they were ok.

The urine odor is not good for fetus... don't change the litter box and you should be ok.

You don't have to avoid the cat or anything. All that is recommended is that you don't do the litter box. Don't stress! 😘😊❤️

Its only tht if its a outside cat. And even then u can wear a mask and gloves and wash ur hands after and ul be fine
