Is cheating Genetic?

I mean not in a way that it is in your DNA, but as in their parents made it seem okay to cheat. My SO mother and father are notorious cheaters and it terrifies me. What if I marry someone like them? I love him but I already have attachment disorders, which cause me to think of the worst.

It's not genetic but obviously childhood environments will impact a person

It's very circumstancial.
Some people could see their parents doing this and the pain it causes and decide to never do anything like that.
BUT some people could see it and think it's ok.

I don't think it's genetic but it influences children and their siblings, in my opinion. My grandad cheated on my Nan. They have two sons, my dad and my uncle. My uncle cheated on his ex-wife and was caught in the act. My dad cheated on my mum and they then filed for divorce. I think it's very circumstantial.

Therapy and self-awareness will help you! Those tendencies aren't a big problem unless they stay unconscious and hidden. Make sure to love yourself and listen to your intuition.
