birth control

So I'm in a new relationship and we haven't gotten sexual yet but on the track we're on probably soon haha anyways, I've been meaning to go on birth control for a while now (not just for sex reasons but I also have a pretty heavy period) and the only thing keeping me back was not knowing which one I should get? I'm thinking no on the pill because I have a hard time remembering to take pills regularly. Basically I'm just wondering what you guys think the best birth control is and why! Thanks! 😊
