Can love truly conquer distance?

Just barely found out today that my boyfriend's job travels around with the company he works for. That one small detail he left out and now I don't know how to feel. I could use some reality or some comforting stories.  How did you and your significant other deal with the distance? Is y'alls love stronger than ever? Or was the distance big enough to separate you apart?

My boyfriends currently studying in California and I'm still here in Chicago. It's hard at first, but the distance brought us closer and helped us to appreciate each other more. 
Every phone call counts, every FaceTime/Skype, every ounce of mail. Everything. Even if it's something small, when I hear from him it makes me feel like he's still here. I still make him stay on the phone with me when i fall asleep😅 
It's just  something I do that makes me feel closer to him while he's away.

My SO is in a federal pen, I couldn't be happier with him, and this is only making us stronger

My boyfriend and I dated long distance for over a year, and while it was hard, it definitely brought us closer because we wanted to be together. Lots of phone calls and mail sent back and forth, but it was 100% worth it.

Just make sure you two trust each other, and have very open means of communication. There were days I was busy with work, and he was busy with school- so we couldn't talk, but we completely trusted each other so there was no issue.
