has anyone taken their newborn out the house?

My baby is a month old and im wondering is it ok to take her out the house. We would like for her to visit her grandparents in the next state and my husband would like to take a short road trip. Is it safe for babies to be out? She had her one month checkup and i forgot to ask the pediatrician😥

Some people take their baby out right from the hospital. Others wait. Its a personal choice. I will not be waiting, I am not a homebody.  Baby stays in carrier and can come with us to restaurants and other places that aren't crowded so we don't die of cabin fever.

I have been taking my daughter out since she was a few days old. You just don't want them to be around sick people or a lot of ppl. We have gone to our parents houses for the most part. Now she will be 10 weeks tomorrow and has done fine :)

My nephew went on a plane at 2 weeks and we had him in NYC for 1 week... It's 100% ok.

I was out straight away, I have children that go to school so there's no way of avoiding it. It's actually only mum that's recommended to stay in for a couple oof days to avoid an infection x

It's a personal choice. My baby went to the nail shop with me at 2 days old. He stayed in his carrier covered. I am a busy body I don't sit at home so he doesn't either. Always doing something. He is 2 months old tomorrow.

I took my son out the day after he was released from the hospital lol. He's now 5 weeks and if not daily he goes out every other day. He's doing just fine btw.

Its only suggested that theyre not around ALOT of people for 6 weeks, they can leave and go visiting at any time :)

I took her out on day three for a walk, and many times after that. Especially I you're breastfeeding it's no big deal.
