I did a hit and run! what do I do?!

Okay so I was driving this morning from my friends house. I pull up to a stop sign and I look right, then left again and and then I wait for a oncoming car to pass. My head is still left and I start pulling forward to turn right and I look forward and there's a jogger! I bump her with my car! She starts freaking out banging on my car. I keep saying sorry and she starts hitting my car and window calling me a bitch a stupid c*nt and she's trying to open my door. I freak out and I step on it and leave. What should I do?! Is this a hit and run? She didn't get my plates because she was too busy trying to beat my ass. Should I call someone

Go to the police station and explain it asap. Try to swing it like you were afraid of her rather than that you hit her and drove off cuz you didn't want to get sued. Good luck. That's a doozy.

Yes call 911 to make a police report and reason for leavening the scene of an accident is completely valid. She was so outraged at your negligence that she was trying to assault you. And you never know if she or anyone else that witnessed the hit wrote down your plates.

You should have drove off to a public area, not far from the scene, and call the police.

You now have two options, sit around and wait. Or contact the police yourself.

If she contacts the police first, remember that there may be witnesses. She also has a good description of you and your vehicle. You leaving the scene without contacting the police is illegal and you could face serious charges.

If you contact the police yourself, before they start looking for you.. your story of how afraid you were could hold up depending on how long you waited.

You need to call the police and report what happened. Tell them you were afraid to stay stopped to call the police there because she was threatening you.

You're assuming she didn't get your plates. Even just some of it and the make and model can be enough. Dumb choice on your part, you honestly shouldn't be allowed a licence after an incident like this. Accidents happen... but responsibility should come second to an accident. You're also assuming no one else was watching.. good luck, in my state that's a felony. People seriously don't pay enough attention to their driving.
