how many rounds of TI before moving to IUI?

Ok- just finished my 4th round of letrozole with times intercourse- no success. Pretty down about this as I had 3 good follicoles this month. I also had an HSG this cycle- no blockage. We have been TTC for coming up on 1.5 years.

Our next step is getting my husband tested. I am moving to my 5th round letrozole and I want to try the trigger shot this month. My question has to do with IUI- how did you decide to move to IUI and what was your experience with them.

Please get your husband to do a sperm analysis ASAP! My RE didn't let us proceed forward with Clomid/IUI/IVF without seeing a urologist. We spent 1.5 years trying on our own and turns out my husband had a varicocele which prevented me from conceiving. Also many clinics feel that IUI's may not be worth your time if you are dealing with severe male factor.

We did 2 rounds with 50mg clomid and Ovidrel trigger with TI. We just did our first IUI yesterday (50mg clomid and trigger) and I'm in the TWW. Everything is normal for us, just unexplained infertility. My RE will do 3 IUIs and then move us to IVF if still not pregnant.

Hi Mel! I did my cycles with letrozole and timed intercourse that all failed. This cycle I decided to move forward with IUI. I took 10mg letrozole CDs 3-7 and go in on Friday for the ultrasound to check follicle size. Hopefully will be doing IUI this weekend!

My Dr told us that IUI was only really helpful if the semen analysis isn't good, or if you're having issues getting the timing right. So, if you guys havnt done the semen analysis, it might be the way to go.

I've had 2 failed IUI's, turns out I have LUFS, so We are now onto IVF this month.
