Can my period alter from having sex?

I've never been worried about my period until this week, where I've had sex twice between periods. Three days after my period ended, I had protected sex with the assurance of not a hole or bust in the condom. Having sex on Monday when my period was supposed to be due, again with protection, I noticed that my period hasn't came. It is now Wednesday, and I am concerned. I have not had unprotected sex at all. I am, however, having white discharge as a possible sign of beginning -- but I have not done so. Can having sex push my period up a few days? What else could be the cause?

Having regular sex can change your hormone levels a bit, as can stress, sleep habits, or diet.  Basically,  if there's anything at all different in your life, don't be too surprised if your cycle changes some too.

As long as you have only been having protected sex, it's unlikely that you are pregnant.  Take a test if that will help you calm down, because the stress will probably delay your period further.

It's also a good idea to take note of which things seem to cause the biggest changes in your cycle.  Each person is affected differently and if you know ahead of time that your period might be weird after a month when something changed, it's less stressful.

It happened to me, my last period. I don't know if it was because of that or what, because my periods have been coming regular recently, prior to my last one. Stress can make it late, also if you're young your periods at more like to come early/late. It's happened to me (same situation), but can't say for sure that's what it is. As long as you used protection, you should be fine. Maybe it's just late due to that or stress.
