Is alcoholism as bad as smoking

my partner is clearly an alcoholic he drinks 6 days a week a large bottle of vodka even in mornings... He says it's just as bad as me smoking but I don't think it is... Me smoking don't affect me physically causing me to not remember things , falling dropping things ... He don't see smoking cigarettes won't make us lose r daughter but him drinking would heaven for bid if social services got involved .. me.going to collect her in school maybe with a bit of smoke on my clothes ain't a problem but him stinking of drinking from night bbefore would look bad in front of teachers ... so my question is do u think drunk is as bad as smoking????
