Can i breast feed my baby & bottle feed with breast milk?

I was thinking about breast feeding my baby when we are home and at night and also bottle feeding breast milk when we are out and not home and for when I go back to work?  Like freezing it for the baby sitter to feed to him/her. Has anyone tried this and been successful ? Any tips?

I did! I froze my milk in one ounce ice cubes for easy measurement in thawing. I kept a days worth in the fridge at all times. Once he got older,  (like taking 4-6 oz at a time) I used breast milk storage bags laid flat in the freezer. Place in a bowl to thaw. Do not microwave as this breaks down vital nutrients. LABEL YOUR DATES!!! Use oldest first. Make sure you pump for the times you bottle feed!! Also, your baby is better at getting milk out so what you pump is not necessarily what you make.

I started breast and bottle feeding in the hospital and had no nipple confusion (even using a variety of bottles). I would let visitors bottle feed and I breast fed when no visitors were around. I even supplemented with formula at times.

I was able to exclusively breast feed my toddler for 3 months before going back to work diminished my supply. Make sure you keep up on pumping! However, I found that the stress of not being able to adequately pump at work made life difficult and switched to formula at that time. I had already built up a decent stash and breast fed him at night so it wasn't all formula.

I did with my first. He was always hungry and really easy to feed/transition. I breastfed, bottle fed breast milk and bottle fed formula... He never fought on any of it, as long as food was coming out lol

I would just be careful with nipple confusion. Happened with my first and I was devestated...never fixed the issue. Hopefully you  don't experience that. Good luck.
