Baby Baptism?

What age is this generally done? Can you baptize a baby without assigning godparents?

I'm pretty sure you can get a baptism done at any age. I'd wait until at least 6 weeks though. And you can definitely get baby baptized without assigning godparents.

My daughter will be baptised when she is 2.5 months old. We chose godparents before she was born and we all had to attend a workshop with the priest who will be performing the ceremony. I don't think you have to have godparents, but it's a nice thing to do for your child.

I baptised my baby when he was 5 days old. It was really important for us to have him baptised as soon as possible and his godfather was in town as well. I think it depends on the denomination whether you have to have godparents.

All of my siblings were dedicated when we were little, around a month old or so. Then we got older, we chose for ourselves if we wanted to be baptized, since that's a decision only you can make for yourself
