We were sent for a second anatomy scan at a maternal medicine specialist this week. At our first scan the baby was curled in a ball and refused to cooperate. At the scan today it cooperated but the Dr. Found that his/her (we are waiting to find out the sex) body is measuring at 16.5 weeks but the head is measuring on time at 18.5 weeks. We then had to meet with a genetic counselor and discuss our options. We had the first trimester screening and everything came back normal for not having any genetic issues then. But now they're concerned. I have to have a second measurement test via sonogram in 3 weeks as a point of comparison. Has anyone ever had this and everything turned out fine? Looking for some reassurance here 😕😔 thank you!
