Non Hormonal Birth Control?

I am 18 and a virgin. I will have to gyno for the first time ever here pretty soon. Should I get on Birth Control? Will they prescribe me some that will go with my blood pressure medicine? Should I even think about going on BC since I am not sexually active?

Even if you're not sexually active it is probably a smart decision to start thinking about your options because you may become sexually active at any time, there are ALOT of non hormonal birth control methods out there that work perfectly fine but if the pill is what you are wanting definitely bring that up with your doctor!

Talk to your doctor, we won't know how it'll react with that sort of medication. The choice is up to you, but I personally think going on it anyways will be more beneficial in case you end up deciding to become sexually active.

I went on birth control at 14 (because of pmdd and pcos) and I was on it for almost 3.5 years before I lost my virginity. It's up to you and your doctor to decide if birth control is right for you

If you are serious about not having sex right now, and you have fairly regular periods without a lot of pain, then I would avoid going on birth control until you are starting to consider having sex
Birth control can have numerous unpleasant side effects 
I have been on birth control most of my life since I was 11 (for extremely heavy long periods and treatment for endometriosis) and am still a virgin (24yrs) . If I hadnt needed it for medical reasons I would have gotten off of it sooner 
But it's a very personal choice and you certainly don't want an unplanned pregnancy 
It's pretty simple for me to abstain since I've never dated lol
