Sorry to post such a gnarly photo. I couldn't put a TMI on it and write a long description. 😖

Anyways, on Thursday i went to the restroom and wiped to find an abnormal amount of mucus. This photo was after the second wipe. I didn't have my phone on me at first but it was so much i got up to take a photo just in case.

I'm 32 weeks pregnant and had sex the morning before. It didn't look like semen to me and i've never had any come out like that the day after. Well, i was worried it could be my mucus plug as i've heard sex can induce labor and i was having weird preterm labor symptoms. Terrible back pain, headaches, drowsiness and now all the mucus. I just didn't think sex could cause any problems this early on. So i called my doctor and she said to go into the hopital right away.

I went and they monitored me, everything was fine. No contractions or bleeding or fever or anything. I was hoping they would do a physical exam to check out my cervix but they never did. I stayed for two hours on the monitors and when they heard I had sex the morning before told me "i had to take it easy." Which, for me... we had. Normally my partner and i are a bit rough but being giant and having our daughter between us.. he's very gentle and treats me like a princess. The nurse told me that NOW I really shouldn't be having sex until 37 weeks and then after that go crazy. But i'm not happy with that response. 😢 i know, it could be worse and it's only 5 weeks to wait... but i just don't really understand. They never confirmed or denied if my mucus plug has loosened. Just told me not to have sex.

Has this happened to anyone else? Any similar situations? I need more answers!
