Am I cheating by opening the test to see if the dye better?

(Comment with extra advice or a story of your own if you want to pls) ...So I took it yesterday and it was invalid lol nothing showed up, no dye, just white so I tossed it to the side yesterday and today I was like 'ehh why not try now that AF is in 5 days' ...and then the dye came out of nowhere. [Picture one is still in the shell picture two is out | and I used the sharpen filter on the pictures] is it cheating? I'll buy a new one one payday but...wwyd?
