I was in a relationship like that.. it was toxic. He controlled me. He chose what I did, who I talked to, & how I felt. Needless to say, he ruined me. We didn't work out. But here's the funny thing, when he broke up with me after almost 2 years of dating HE was partying & smoking/drinking. Total coward. You do whatever you want to do, & don't let someone control you. I learned that the hard way.

I don't tell my husband he can't talk to people but there is one "friend" who is married to my husbands best friend and she is a total manipulative, cheating liar. He knows I have a problem with her because she likes to make my life a living hell. After she tried to ruin our wedding he's realizing what kind of person she is. I don't tell him to not talk to her or see her but I make it well known that I don't like her and my distaste for her. He doesn't talk to her much anymore because she has done so much to him that's burned him.
