Is your period regular or irregular?

My friend, who has a regular period, thinks it's completely abnormal for me to have an irregular period. I'm only 16 and I was taught that it's a normal thing for a period to be irregular when you're still young. She suggested I talk to a gynecologist, but I think that's unnecessary. Is your period regular or irregular, and how old are you?

You're totally normal. I've never bothered tracking my period because its always been all over the place. I recently starting on birth control, so hopefully it'll make things a little more predictable. My mom is the same way. Totally irregular aunt flow.

You're completely normal. I got my first period around when I was 11/12 and it never became normal until I got on birth control.
