Small baby....Early delivery?

Hi all, I'm after some advice, or anyone who has had any experience of this. 
I am 28 + 4 weeks. At 26 weeks my baby boy measured on the 20th centile on his growth chart. Which although is small, it's still in his range. We had to go back at 28 weeks for a growth scan. He is now on the 8th centile in his growth chart. So although he has grown slightly, he has even fallen off his own line.

I need to go back at 30 weeks to check his growth again and then I have an appointment with the consultant booked. The baby may need to be delivered earlier if he stops growing. I'm not scared of caesarean's, I needed one with my first child as she stopped moving, but she was delivered at 37 + 5 weeks, so still full term. But I'm petrified if this baby has to be delivered before he approaches full term.

This happened to me. They had me measuring small my whole pregnancy and by 37weeks my little guy had dropped to the 5th percentile (1 and 2% on several measurements). We ended up inducing labor at 37weeks and guess what the ultrasounds that said he would be 5lbs were wrong and I gave birth to a healthy 6lb baby with absolutely no problems. I understand how scared you must be but try not to stress out too much! Focus on making it to 36/37 weeks.

I was induced at 33 weeks she was in the 3rd centile

On my first Anatomy scan done was at 26 weeks measuring at 21% percentile rate, which is on the small side but still in range. Dr then scheduled me for another  anatomy scan at 30 weeks, which came back at 78% percentile rate (normal) the ultrasound tec estimated his weight to be 3lbs 12 ozs now to big. I wouldn't worry to much, wait until your second scan and see what they have to say. Wishing you the best.

My friend was actually induced on Friday at 38 weeks because her baby was measuring small. She was born at 4 pounds 14 oz. She's completely healthy, just really little.

I'm measuring below all 3 lines on the graph I'm 31 weeks but measuring 28.5cm I'm waiting for a growth scan and then consultant :-( this is my third pregnancy and the only one I've had loads of problems with so I'm hoping everything is going to be fine n I can keep her in till 34 or 36 weeks

I don't understand. Why would they induce if the baby is small? Wouldn't they want the baby to stay in as long as possible?
