Why are boys so confusing??

So I met this guy on Friday and he's best friends with my roommate so we all hung out till 6am. We all had a few drinks and he was being super cuddly but I thought maybe he was just being friendly. He asked for my number so I gave it to him. Then I saw him again the next night at a party and he kept hugging me and another girl(who he's known for a year and they're just friends). Later on he wanted me to play beer bong with him and had me sit on his lap. When we all went out to eat he sat next to me instead of the other girl and kept cuddling with me and getting me more food or drinks. He left for another party I didn't want to go but he wanted me to. The next day I got a text from his best friend asking how I felt about this guy. Also my roommate keeps telling me I should get to know him more. I'm just confused if he's into me or not, I feel like he's giving mixed signals. (We also texted on Sunday). We're in college so I feel like he should be more straightforward.
