Hypoallergenic laundry detergent for baby or no?

So, I never used any sort of hypoallergenic detergent or baby detergent with my son. My husband and I are expecting our first child together (he is not the biological father of my son) and he seems to think we NEED hypoallergenic detergent. I personally think it is a waste of money, but then again, my son is 7 so things may have changed since he was born. Do you use special baby detergent or no?

I use ALL free and clear. It is the same price, if not less than regular detergent. It is just scent free and doesn't have any chemicals and dyes in it. I personally think baby detergents like Dreft are overrated and overpriced.

It all depends on baby's skin. Some are very sensitive to dyes and fragrances etc.  Idk if you have big lots,  but they have those HUGE containers of off brand free and clear detergent for SUPER cheap like 4 or 5$. It's worth it just to ease your husbands anxiety, if you can get some at a good price.  ☺️ that's what I use because I share with my mom and my dad is very sensitive.  So I always buy the huge ones at big lots.

I had to with my first daughter, she had very sensitive skin.  So I just started using it with my second and will again this time. Just for the first year at least. I make my own though. I buy all the ingredients I need for $6 and it makes enough to last like 5-6 months.

I have to use a certain kind (purex) because both my son's have eczema. I'm hoping this next baby won't.

I also used dreft before I switched over.

I love the smell of Dreft I can't stop! But my daughter also has eczema and I think that it helps somewhat avoid irritation.

I just used the all clear it's safe and used it with my daughter cause she has eczema dreft gave her rashes
