stitches?

I had a first degree tear with three stitches and my son is now a month old and I still have them and they randomly feel uncomfortable at times. How long do stitches typically last??

I'm not sure what degree mine was. My doctor wouldn't tell me. He just kept saying "you mostly ripped inside your vagina and on your labia. So I have no idea how badly but I still have my internal stitches and I'm a week away from my 6 week appointment and my husband is dying to have sex. I don't know if it's going to happen since my stitches are still in the most important part lol

I had a second degree tear and it felt like it was pulling and sore up until last week, which was 5.5 weeks pp.

Mine lasted about 5 weeks. I honestly thought they put the wrong kind of stitches in! Thank goodness it felt so much better with them falling out. I had a second degree tear
