hpv.. visible in women but not in men
Hi, Ladies..
Just felt I needed to warn ladies without the hpv shot.. My generation was new to the hpv preventative shot and I missed the deadline or age-right window to receive the shot. If you're like me and never had the shot, know that men cannot be tested for this virus. A guy will tell you he doesn't have it and you'll believe him until you're stuck at your gyno pap appointment hearing your doctor tell you you screened positive for it.
Especially to the ladies having sex with older guys... Watch out! Some strands of the virus cause cervical cancer and in these cases, continued surgery or procedures to remove the cells leads to loss of the entire reproductive system. If you plan on having kids, this is not a path you want to walk through.
If you are having sex, and since there's no way to tell if a guy has it or not, it's best to always use protection!
