Rant. Doc criticized weight gain.

Nicole
I just came back from a visit with an endocrinologist, first time patient. She asked if I gained any weight yet, and how much. I said 20 lbs. Her response? "Already?!" 😑 Excuse me, but from all the research I've done on TWIN pregnancies, I'm right on track for 22 weeks. Women expecting twins who gain 24 lbs by the 24th week decrease their chances of preterm labor and low birth weights. AND gaining early on aids in the development of the placentas, which of course better provides the babies with their nutrients. I'm just so irritated with people who aren't educated on pregnancies of multiples. We have two placentas, two placentas (most of us), and double the amniotic fluid.
