So im pregnant and I left my husband because he was emotionally abusive and I tried my best to give him chance after chance but it didn't work out and I was so stressed I lost loads of weight and cried every night.

He would make out he would cheat on me and called me fat and alsorts, he would restrict money so I'd get into debt but he would eventually pay what I owed but in small amounts when he gets paid double wages for being married to me through the army.

But when I mentioned a divorce he was stubborn and refused to send me money. I was at the point of cutting contact and of course he panicked and mentioned the money side of it (he is currently using my money to live In a house with his new dog). He tried scaring me by saying legally he doesn't have to give me money which I dont believe is true, I asked his boss and he said that's wrong and I should get something.

I got his boss to speak to the commander to tell him basically he is refusing to send me money but his boss took too long to tell the commander for anything to be arranged and the government won't give me an income till the end of the year because I was out of my home country longer than 4 weeks ( cause I was living with him )

Now I didn't know what else to do so I'm not being all lovey dovey and I never wear my ring but he told me to come back and to look into getting a visa, see if I'm eligible. I'm not telling him the whole truth that again I can't go back because of what he put me through, he never understands.

Am I mean for trying to get as much money as I can to tie me over for food etc before I can legally claim ? Otherwise I'd have nothing to live off.

Please share your opinions. I feel terrible.

& FYI its not even loads he is sending me , he gets an extra $800 every two weeks for me and every MONTH I only asked for around $160.

I know I'll be a single mum and it is depressing but he is scary when he switches moods and acted psychotic, I'd tell people and they would cringe or be speechless by now I was treated.
