any mommas stocking up?

People keep telling me I'm dumb for trying to stock up on diapers and wipes before the baby comes. What do you all think?

I'd buy a small pack in different brands until you know if baby will break out or be allergic to anything. I was going to stock up every paycheck until my boss told me a horror story of how a diaper brand made her twins raw and bleed at 2 weeks old. 😳 that scared me enough to hold off on getting the big packs like I initially wanted, and just wait until I know what works for us, then subscribe to them on Amazon! Can't beat home delivery!

I'd be careful not to overstock- my sister bought diapers every time she went to the store throughout her pregnancy. Her baby was born 9lbs 10 oz and didn't spend very much time in newborn diapers or size one. She ended up having about six boxes extra. Sometimes you Can exchange them with a receipt, but I'd check with the stores policy (time limits etc)

Better to be prepared than pulling your hair out and stressing over diapers later!! We are doing the same thing! Also we will have a diaper raffle at our gender reveal where anyone who brings diapers or wipes will be put into a raffle for a prize!!

I would just stalk up on 1 and up! You'll get a bunch of newborns for your baby shower if you have one. Wait until the last few weeks to buy newborn so if you don't use them you can return and get a different size!

Just curious why people need to stock up on diapers? Is it really hard to pick up or order diapers online after baby comes? For storage reasons, I don't plan on keeping more than a couple boxes on hand at a time.
