Me and my husband are having a disagreement. He is for our son sucking his thumb or sucking on hisfingers to  self soothe himself, but I don't want our son sucking his thumb or fingers long term. I feel like if I allow it, it will start a longterm bad habit. We have full custody of his two children he had in a previous marriage and both of them suck there thumb and they are 5. We have been trying to break them of the habit because they are getting too big and it is causing calluses on their fingers where they bite down on their fingers. Am i wrong for not wanting our son to suck on his thumb or fingers? How do you feel about thumb and finger sucking?
