Too soon?

My husband's family is all really close. His cousin is pregnant with her first (14 weeks) and I'm pregnant with our second (8 weeks). We were planning to announce next Sunday (25th) but she just sent out a text inviting everyone to their gender reveal on Friday (23rd). I don't want to steal her thunder or anything, so would that be too soon to make our announcement?

I'm still debating when to tell my family. This is our 3rd and I'm almost 6 weeks. But my sister is pregnant.. We're having a shower for her Oct 22nd and I'm wondering if I should wait until after that, but I'm so excited and it's so hard keeping it a secret. Plus I'm so exhausted and already getting sick. I'm thinking as soon as I have our announcement made I'm telling. I don't think I can wait!
