You can have more then one LH surge, the first one could be a failed attempt to O. OPKs do not guarantee it will happen it just detects the LH hormone. If you want to know if you ovulated or not you have to be taking your Basel body temp.

You wouldn't. An LH surge doesn't guarantee ovulation and levels fluctuate through your cycle.
