will strict parents loosen up?ever?

So im 19 but i still live under my parents roof. But i can barely go out. They make a big deal about everything. And when i go out they assume the worst. I wonder if parents like this will ever loosen up. Or ill have to live like this till i move out which wont be anytime soon 😔

In my experience they never loosen up. I'm a 25 year old married woman with a baby on the way and they still try to dictate every aspect of my life. Haven't lived with them since I was 18. Some parents are just tough no matter what

Yeah after the second kid is born. Parents tend to be super lax with each child they have. My mom was super struck in talking street lights on you're in the house. My sister gets away with murder. They claim that it's a "the parent is older and more tired" thing

In my experience, no. Im 28 next month and my parents are the most controllive parents Ive ever met. I thought that it would change once I left home, but it actually got worse. They try to dictate where we (me, my husband and kids) live, where we move to, what school our kids go to, what I "should and shouldn't do" for my career, it never ends.

Hell they even tried to dictate who I married and tried to convince me to abort my first baby when I was in my 20s and left home! No way in hell I was allowing that though. My sister eventually broke contact due to them, she couldnt handle the level of control they try to enforce. 
So, in my opinon, no, it NEVER ends 😞

My MIL tries to dictate my husband's life and treats him like a baby.  He ignores her and we barely see her.  Maybe 5 times a year.  We live 30 minutes away from her too.  My advice is to get a stable job as quick as you can and move out so you can run your life the way you want it.

Sometimes they can. You just have to show them ur s little independent. My parents were extremely strict at times I couldn't even spend the night at my own cousins house.. 
When I turned 18 I bought myself my own car I got a job, and little by little I'd ask to go out more and they weren't too happy at first, but they'd let me. After that it turned more into hey guys I'm going to the store to grab something I'll be back in 30 mins. 
Or hey I'm going running with my girlfriend I'll be back soon. 
I turned the can I.. To a.. I'm going here. Out of respect I'm still letting them know.. But I wanted them to know I'm a little older now I didn't exactly wanna ask permission I just wanted a simple maybe go tmrw it's too late right now.. 
When I turned 20 they finally gave me keys to the house, I never disrespected them.. I'd come home at 12am.. Because that was my curfew. You just have to show them ur a little independent but still respect them

My mom had her rules while I lived at home.  I was 30 couldn't have biyfriend sleeping over, at a certain time company had to leave and I could not sleep out. She told me straight you live under my roof you have rules. I built my own house and moved out.  To be honest I will be the same way with my child.

I am 20 turning 21 in a month and i still live with my parents and they are still strict even though i have always behaved and never givin them a reason to doubt me.my mom used to be less strict when i was 12-13 but then my sister got pregnant at 16 and she changed to be honest i find it unfair because i am not my sister she made her mistakes and i am the one who pays the consequences... the only thing you can do is follow their rules until you can move out but even then i am sure they will worry about you...i actually plan on moving out soon.
