Heavy Bleeding!!!

I just started the birth control pills. I have had the implant and the shot before. They both caused me to have my period for months. Now I just started the pill and My period was late and it's only day three of it. I'm having palm sized blood clots, very weak almost passing out, and nausea, I've been bleeding constantly. I'm going through pads like it's nothing. Is this normal? Should I just stop using birth control since all of them so far have affected my period so much?
