when can I start taking it

I've picked up the pill from my doctors and I was told to start taking it on the first day of my period which isn't for two weeks...can't I just start taking it now?!

You can start them now but I was told if you start them the first day of your period they are effective right away. I just had a baby and my dr doesn't want me pregnsnt again for at least another year and told me to start mine asap.

I would follow what they said. I started taking it to regulate my period and I had to take it on the first day of my period. That will be your starting date and they should include stickers for you to label your starting day. Follow the doctor's orders.

You're suppose to take the first pill in the pack on a sunday and continue everyday at the same time you took it. Your cycle will be back on track in a few months.
