Epidural or water birth?

Which one would you go for?

I want a water birth more than anything but I have the pain tolerance of a toddler. I wish I was stronger but I'm just not good with pain.

Neither. I don't want an epidural (but will get it if I need it) and a water birth does not sound appealing to me. Whatever way my baby is born healthy I'm happy with

I didn't have an epidural with my daughter. I had wanted to try for medication free, but if I had had the choice I wouldn't have been able to hold out. I got to the point that I REALLY wanted the epidural but I didn't make it to the hospital in time (I was sent home twice). With this baby, I would like to try again but with a water birth (my hospital offers them).

I've never had either. Both my girls were born in a hospital but didn't have an epidural with either. It was great both times. My girls were born wide awake a very active. It's also nice not being tied to the bed the whole time. Being able to move around makes labor a lot easier.

If this labor will be anything like my first, I'm going to need an epidural again. I was in labor 39 hours total. Excruciating contractions every minutes lasting 30 seconds. I had tears streaming down my face and was shaking from the pain. I am so glad I got the epidural and was able to enjoy the birth of my daughter, even though the epidural wore off and I felt EVERYTHING once it was time to push

Wish I could have water birth, it just isn't an option around here for everyone, there's only one tub in the hospital I think and there aren't any birthing centres
