what in the world.. discharge question..

So yesterday I spotted with wiping only a few times.. today again only with wiping a few times. I started cramping pretty bad (AF not due til Thursday) and I thought for sure I was going to get the witch.. when I went to pee and wipe just now it was a huge glob of clear snotty discharge with one single streak of brown in it... what in the heck??! Is that a period sign?! I've never had that happen
