Is the IUD worth it?

I'm considering getting a IUD soon, and I just want to know if people think it's good protection and is worth the pain?

Answer

I love it.

The Mirena has just been approved for 6-7 years of use (used to be 5).

In my opinion, it has been 110% worth getting, even considering I had to pay almost $300 in doctors fees and $60 for the device itself.

Considering if I was still on the pill, which cost me about $21 each new pack, I would have spent over $1800 in the next 7 years.
