When should you notify your job?

When do you plan to let your job know?

I don't plan on telling anybody but my husband and best friends until I'm at least 12wks.....  I've lost 2 pregnancies in the last 18months so I'm in no rush to tell anyone right now

I'm going to space out telling my boss and everyone else at work. Boss needs to know  everything is okay when I need to skip work for appointments and give me and a little slack. Everyone else I'll tell after the first trimester. I want to try to control how and when it gets out but I'm sure someone will blab.

I plan on telling my boss after my 8 week appointment. My husband and I work together. So he will be going to my appointments. 
Since I know I will have another few appointments this year I figure he should know so that way he is understanding about me working different hours some days  and so he doesn't worry something is wrong.

I'm on maternity leave right now and won't be going back to work until I'm 14 weeks. So I'll be telling them right away! Maybe even before I go back just so they can make plans since I'll only be back for a few months

I told my boss as soon as I found out because she was wondering if I was ill. Morning sickness has been a problem. She also wanted to know if I was still comfortable with my normal, contracted cleaning duties. I requested a switch from cleaning with bleach to a safer cleaner and everything is fine. We've agreed to lighten the cleaning duties as I get farther along.

I agree that 12 weeks is usually a good time to let your job know. Unless you have a higher risk job. I work in a hospital X-ray department so I let my boss know immediately.
