Thoughts on the name Beau?

When you hear the name Beau, what do you think of? I like very very few boy names but my husband and I are considering Beau. To me it sounds kind of like a southern gentlemen and handsom but only if I think of this spelling in my head. I'm afraid of people thinking it's spelled Bo and I hate that spelling and feel like that kind of Bo sounds more hick-ish, which is fine, but that's not us or what we are going for. What do you say? Yes or no to Beau? Classy or redneck?
